Teapots

I collect teapots. Before you react to that, please don't send me any. Don't get me wrong - I have been delighted when my friends have given me teapots as presents. But I have no more space at home. They've actually overflowed into my workspace. Here is a picture of the top of my hutch:

The ones on the left are all Asian-style teapots, and on the right are European. I'm kind of partial to the Asian ones. My favorite is the cast iron Tetsubin teapot (the little black one on the stand). I've had it for years, long before they started popping up all over the place. Now they are a dime a dozen, and they are usually much larger, and have colors painted on them, even.

I think I have about 40 teapots right now.

Those are really pretty teapots. I used to collect them too, but I ran out of room in my house. I only have about 8.

My interest in teapot collecting began during my first vacation to london. I started collecting miniature teapots and am very selective and "cheap". I only have 3 in a three year span. Love your collection.
